演讲人简介：马克·哈里森，牛津大学历史系教授、维尔康医学史中心主任、维尔康伦理学与人类学中心主任。1991年博士毕业于牛津大学圣体学院近现代史专业， 2001年至今，担任牛津大学格林学院（Green College）院士、维尔康医学史研究中心主任，长期从事疾病史、殖民医学史和军事医学史研究，是国际著名疾病医疗史学者。主要专著有Public Health in British India: Anglo-Indian Preventive Medicine, 1859-1914、Climates and Constitutions: Health, Race, Environment and British Imperialism in India, 1600-1850、Medicine and Victory: British Military Medicine in the Second World War、Medicine in the Age of Commerce and Empire: Britain and its Tropical Colonies, 1660-1830、The Medical War: British Military Medicine in the First World War等。
